What you'll accomplish

Record a 60-second voice memo after any provider call, peer-to-peer discussion, or physician advisor conversation, and get a complete text case note without touching a keyboard. The result is more complete documentation than manual note-taking, saving 10–15 minutes of typing per call.

What you'll need

  • A smartphone (iOS or Android). The built-in voice recorder app works
  • A transcription app that uses Whisper (see tool options below)
  • OR a computer with a microphone and access to a Whisper-powered web app
  • Time needed: 30 minutes to choose and set up a transcription tool; 2–3 minutes per voice memo after that
  • Cost: Free tier available with most apps; some charge $5–15/month for higher usage
